ONLINE BILL PAY
With Bill Pay, you’ll be able to pay your bills online directly from your checking account without worrying about checks or stamps! You can even set up recurring bill payments to have bills automatically paid each month. Use Bill Pay to pay your rent, send checks to loved ones or pay utilities.
How to Enroll in Bill Pay:
You must enroll in Online Banking first, if you are not already enrolled.
- Login to Online Banking
- Click on the Self Service tab
- Click on the link for Bill Pay Enrollment
- Read the Bill Pay Agreement, check the box next to "I accept" and click submit
- Logout of Online Banking
- Log back into Online Banking and you'll see a new "Bill Pay" tab!
How to set up your bills:
- Login to Online Banking
- Click on the Bill Pay tab
- Click on the Merchant Accounts link
- Click on Add a Merchant
- Fill out the merchant and address information as it appears on your bill
stub.
- If you're not sure of this information, call the company that you're trying to pay.
- If you're paying a person, enter their name as the "merchant", the address where they want the payment sent and use the account number section to write something that lets them know the payment is coming from you such as "J.Smith for Babysitting 6/20/11"
- In the nickname section, enter a nickname that'll help you identify who the merchant is. This will not appear on your payment but will be visible to you in the Bill Pay tool.
- Click "Save"
How to make a one-time bill payment:
- Login to Online Banking
- Click on the Bill Pay tab
- Click on the Quick Pay link
- Scroll downto find the merchant that you'd like to pay
- Next to the merchant's name, enter the dollar amount of your payment
- Click on the calendar icon to determine when to pay your bill.
- The very first bill payment is sent as a paper check. We recommend setting up your bill payment to occur at least 5 days before your bill is due to make sure that it arrives there before the due date. If the merchant accepts electronic payments, the next payments will only require 2 days.
- Leave the remaining fields blank
- Click submit and review the confirmation that appears
- Click okay
NOTE:
Bill payments are processed each business day at 1pm EST. If you set up a bill pay to go out that day, it must be set up before 1pm EST otherwise it will go out the following business day. For example, if you login to Online Banking at 2pm on Friday to set up a bill payment to go out that day, it won't be processed until Monday at 1pm.
