Scam Alert: Phishing Scam targeting ATM/Debit Card holders in the Southern Tier & Finger Lakes region
The Credit Union was recently notified of a phishing scam targeting financial institutions, including credit unions, in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions. Members are receiving calls and text messages urging them to reactivate "blocked" ATM or debit cards by sharing sensitive information. The messages states that members cannot do any transactions on their ATM or debit card unless they press 1 to reactivate your card or to call back a toll free number”.
