Become A Credit Union Member
Every member starts their membership with a savings account and a $25 deposit. This $25 deposit represents your share of the credit union – making you a member-owner.
Instead of sharing our profits with a handful of owners, we give those earnings back to our member-owners in the form of higher earnings on savings, lower rates on loans, fewer fees for services and free convenience tools that make banking easy.
What to bring with you:
- Identification
Your ID can include one form of ID that has both your photo and address -OR- two forms of ID with one having a photo and the other verifying your address. - Minimum Deposit
A deposit of $25 in cash or as a check payable to yourself to be deposited into your savings account. - Social Security Number
You won't need the card but make sure you have your social security number and that anyone else who is going to be joint on the account(s) has theirs as well.
Start your membership today!
You can apply for membership by stopping by the office – no appointment needed.
Make sure to bring photo ID, your social security number and a deposit of $25 or more.
Membership is open to those that live, work, worship, attend school, or volunteer in Gates or Chili. Membership is also extended to the family members and household members of someone who is eligible to join our credit union (whether or not they are a member).
At a credit union, you're a member, not a number.
In fact, you're actually a "member-owner" because when you open your credit union account, your account becomes your "share" of our credit union. Each member has an equal vote at our annual meetings.
